Pregnancy is not a disease!!1!

It has symptoms, and it can kill you.

It's a natural process!!!11!

So is cholera.

More reasons we need to take the Universal Healthcare seriously?

I'd change that question mark to an exclamation point.

As I wrote elsewhere, I hope that by coming out with the announcement that she has this, that more women are taken seriously by their doctors and others, rather than be told that we are "imagining things,", "over-reacting" & "whining".

I had hyperemesis with each of my three pregnancies--each time it got worse. I had one ER doctor tell me to eat saltines.

My last pregnancy I switched doctors--female practice. They immediately started me on Zofran and managed the sickness. I couldn't believe I was allowed to suffer so badly before.

And I do know someone who terminated her pregnancy because of hyperemesis. It can be quite serious.
